Invoice Creation

Create detailed invoices based on your tracked tasks or ad-hoc services. TaskCart provides:

• Auto-sequencing: Invoice numbers are auto-sequenced per year.
• Flexible Items: Add line items, apply taxes, and use from/to snapshots.
• Discounts: Apply none, percent, or fixed discount types.
• Tax Invoices: Mark invoices as tax invoices and set the appropriate tax rate and name. Taxes can also be configured on a per-item basis.
• Currency Support: Invoices are generated in your preferred per-freelancer currency setting.

Invoice Lifecycle

Invoices follow a strict status flow: draft → sent → paid or overdue.

Stripe Connect Integration

Connect your Stripe account via the dashboard to leverage seamless payments:

• Hosted Payment Links: TaskCart generates secure, Stripe-hosted invoice URLs for your clients.
• Automated Status Updates: Stripe handles all the background updates. When an invoice is paid or fails, TaskCart automatically updates the invoice status for you.

Automated Invoice PDFs

TaskCart automatically generates and downloads PDF versions of your Stripe invoices. This process is queued via BullMQ in the background and stored securely in S3 for fast retrieval.

Whenever an invoice is ready, notifications (including real-time alerts if they are online) are sent to your clients.

Plan Limits & Subscriptions

• Client Invoices: The Starter plan allows up to 5 invoices/month. Professional and Agency tiers offer unlimited invoicing.
• Platform Billing: Your subscription to TaskCart itself is securely managed via Paddle.
